Mindfulness, Magic, and Making: A 10-Week Journey of Creativity and Presence

Course Overview

Join us for a 10-week immersive journey that blends mindfulness, magic, and creative expression. This course is designed to help you slow down, listen deeply, and engage in intentional making through writing, photography, drawing, watercolor, collage, and embroidery. Classes take place on Zoom. You will receive Zoom link a day before class begins.

Each week, we will explore a theme that weaves together mindfulness practices (breathwork, meditation, body awareness), magical elements (intention setting, ritual, connection to nature), and creative projects that help you express yourself with greater depth and presence.

No prior experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to explore!

Curriculum

Week 1: Setting Intentions & Creative Presence

  • Breathwork, meditation, and grounding exercises

  • Understanding creativity as a sacred practice

  • Setting personal intentions for the course

  • Creative project: Writing and illustrating an intention journal

Week 2: The Magic of Breath & Energy in Art

  • Exploring the relationship between breath, movement, and creativity

  • Noticing energy shifts in the body and creative process

  • Creative project: Free-flow watercolor painting inspired by breathwork

Week 3: Elemental Magic & Nature Connection

  • Working with the four elements (earth, air, fire, water) in creativity

  • Exploring the natural world through photography

  • Creative project: Nature photography + mixed media collage

Week 4: The Power of Words & Storytelling

  • Writing as a tool for self-discovery and intention-setting

  • Exploring the magic of affirmations and personal storytelling

  • Creative project: Handwritten affirmations + embroidery on fabric or paper

Week 5: Rituals for Creativity & Flow

  • Designing rituals for inspiration and overcoming creative blocks

  • Sound, movement, and embodied creative practices

  • Creative project: Creating a personal ritual and/or illustrated ritual guide

Week 6: Symbols, Signs & Intuitive Art

  • Exploring symbols and synchronicities in everyday life

  • Using intuitive drawing and photography to capture personal symbols

  • Creative project: Ink and watercolor symbol painting

Week 7: Shadow Work & Creative Alchemy

  • Embracing the shadow in art and self-expression

  • Transforming emotions into visual storytelling

  • Creative project: Mixed-media collage and layered journal pages

Week 8: Sacred Space & Creating with Intention

  • Cultivating a sacred creative space

  • Infusing intention into embroidery and handcrafted objects

  • Creative project: Embroidered sigil or stitched intention piece

Week 9: Manifestation & Magic in Everyday Life

  • Harnessing creativity as a tool for manifestation

  • Visioning practices with writing, drawing, and collage

  • Creative project: Photography + vision board collage

Week 10: Integration & Celebration

  • Reflecting on the journey and creative growth

  • Sharing insights and completed projects

  • Creative project: A final piece integrating multiple techniques from the course


    Note: This curriculum is designed to be flexible and adaptable to participants' individual needs and progress. It encourages continuous exploration and growth throughout the ten weeks.

    You don’t need to be an expert—just bring an open mind, a few simple materials, and a desire to explore.
